Anyway, just in case any of you missed the awesomeness that is Jamie Bamber I just had to share it with my flist. I'm good like that.

I just read this lovely short interview with Jamie Bamber from TV guide that adds to my feelings of hope for a worthwhile conclusion for my favourite characters in the last season of BSG. I love Jamie's take on things and I particularly love his comments towards the end of this piece about the actors he enjoyed working with the most, and I wanted to share in case anybody did not catch it. As a surprise gift from my husband, I was taken to an all tomorrows parties gig last weekend at mt Buller. I had a great weekend, but the highlights for me were finally seeing the Saints perform live (Absolutely awesome) and being front row centre stage for Nick Cave....my love for Nick Cave knows no bounds. It was the perfect surprise.

As the start of season 4.5 gets closer, I find myself going a little insane. I am torn between fear and excitement. Every day is a rollercoaster. While I love BSG in general, and I want to see and know the answers to many things on a global level, I am desperately hopeful for Lee and Kara to have a worthy resolution to their long and complicated, and deliciously angsty relationship.

I am trying really hard to remain unspoiled and positive by reminding myself each day, of at least five positive things about Lee and Kara's relationship that may indicate that I will see a worthy resolution (I could not survive another Northern exposure!).

Lee and Kara are totally and irrevocably in love.

I just cannot find it in me to believe that this scene could exist without me *believing* that something good must come from this.

2008 was tough on many fronts. I remain wary, but I am also hopeful, that 2009 will fufill it's promise.

Strange days indeed.

My camera is jiggered, so I hope you won't mind this christmas pic of Wilson (it is one of last years). It is one of my favorites.

I have managed to get my final report lodged with the psychology registration board...such a relief, just 1 case report to go now. Here's hoping they will pass me. I am so looking forward to 2009 and having less pressure.

To celebrate the approaching end, I have just started a BSG rewatch (Season 1 so far today) now that my shiny new season 4 dvd's have arrived. Roll on January 16!!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted. Is it really 24 weeks? Is the hiatus of doom nearly over? Much water....many bridges. Much to tell. I have loads on lj to read - I have not been on line much at all- I guess that will get me busy,but I am really keen to catch up. Hope nobody will mind my very delayed contributions to discussions. I have really missed you guys.

haven't had a lot of computer access so far in my travels as we have been doing a lot of hiking. So far we have visited Hawaii, san Francisco, Sonoma, Las Vegas and we are now briefly in L.A. prior to setting off for London, France and Spain. It has been a bit of a whirlwind so far, and we are having a great time. We has some really special times in the Nevada desert exploring red rock canyon and the valley of fire, and Hawaii was so beautiful and relaxing. I am totally in BSG withdrawal now though (tremors, nightmares, headaches, and sweats), but I am detirmined to 'stay clean' and not be spoiled till I get home for the last couple of episodes that I have not seen yet this half of the season. Hope they are good. Hope Lee and Kara have some scenes....

Stay well all, and I will be back ASAP.

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around and contributing much lately. Work has had me doing insane hours which, along with a few family issues and a sick cat....all adds up to little on line time, and I have missed it sooo much. Ironically, now that I am about to start 8 weeks leave, I will have more time, but I am traveling and I am unsure how and when, I will be able to access a computer and get on line. Worse still it means that I won't be able to see BSG for the final 2 eps of the first half of season 4 for another 8 weeks....Gahhh.

Still, It's a much smaller hiatus than what's coming, I guess.

Wilson....(see below - yes, he's back in bed)



....decided that being hit by a car 3 weeks ago just wasn't quite exciting enough, so he decided to really spice things up by falling off the bath while trying to help my husband shave - it's a long story - and rupturing his cruciate ligament. We have just spent 2 worrying days while he has had surgery to repair this. He's in a lot of pain but doing well. Me? Not so well. We are due to leave for ann 8 week trip next Sunday, and my parents in law will be *baby sitting* .....*freaks out*

I am very behind on LJ comments and such....hope everyone will understand. I'm also in acute BSG withdrawal.....so I am watching 27 dresses instead.

Thanks so much to everybody who responded to my open letter to RDM. I felt a little better after the last episode which had *some* Lee scenes - still not enough to make up for 2 weeks absence though grrrr - until I found out about the 1 week hiatus!! Somebody save me!!!

To console myself, I thought I would share these cute Jamie and Mary pics from fedcon 17 thanks to rule twentynine. It's really nice to see the bamceps are still in fine form...drools....and it's always so good to see Jamie smile. Mary is, as always, simply gorgeous.

What with one thing or another, we have been having a torrid time of it lately culminating in Wilson being hit by a car last Friday. We both really love this little guy and the whole experience has been pretty awful. Thankfully he is still with us - 2 nights at the vets, a broken pelvis, lacerations, loss of claws and feline dignity not withstanding - and rising to the challenge of his recovery with his usual style and grace.

I have been progressing my way through an X-files rewatch in preparation for the release of the new movie...no easy task I can assure you. I am enjoying it immensely (minor frustrations aside) and finding it a whole lot easier to keep up with the conspiracy side of the plot now that I have the whole box set and remote in hand. I have just completed season 4 and thought I would post one of my favourite Scully and Mulder pics (saved by the mothballs!!). This pic just seemed to capture everything that captivated me about these two for so many years. I'm really looking forward to the next movie.
